Our evening treat last night. We thought about making a sandwich counterpart to go with it.
Short’s Brewing Cup A Joe Coffee Creme Stout (Picked up at Capone’s in Norristown, PA). A 3 of 4. Like Short’s other stuff, this tastes exactly as described -- there is a ton of coffee in this. Some great milk sweetness right behind it helps mellow it out. A bit sticky on the palate and full-bodied. Finishes clean with just a slight sweetness that helps differentiate this from so many other coffee stouts.

Short’s Brew Zangief’s Bearhug Russian Style Imperial Stout
ABV (Alcohol by Volume): 9.5
Availability: Rotating (Unknown)
Aroma: Very bold, dark roast coffee, along with dark cocoa.
Taste: Bitter, floral hops, followed by dark roast coffee, seguing into rich cocoa, and finished with a hint of caramel.
Pairing(s): Roast beef, boiled gold potatoes, and fresh string beans.
My last pre-op beer. No more alcohol for a while, but it’ll be worth it. Drinking a Short’s Bim Bam Boom for my last.
