you have to understand, my arranged marriage was promised to the darker side. a state of constant melancholy. this is what i accepted my whole life. despite the heaviness that existed .. it felt slightly comfortable. these days though, i’ve been happy. not just the happiness you feel every once in a while but a constant affair more-so. one which has lasted too long. and with affairs, comes immense guilt. So I’ve been reflecting lately. and I’m thinking of the endless amounts of times we dissected and tore off pieces of each other.. but like severing a limb, you still feel the missing nerves. these shadows are so intriguing. interesting how we only ultimately wanted the thing we couldn’t muster up for our own selfs.. i couldn’t wait to forget you. i couldn’t wait to feel anything but what i felt in those moments. and that idea is what kept me going. but now that i have forgotten you. so have i forgotten me.
