5. on an average day , what can be found in your character’s pockets ??
bike & office keys , wallet , his magatama , & whatever folded up papers or small items are left over from or are still being stored in his court record .
9. is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up ??
yes ; it’s improved by quite a bit , most notably thanks to his lawyer status . his family worked rather low - key professions that were basically just enough to have a well enough living with slight dips every now & again .
14. does your character remember names or faces easier ??
faces . he’s never really been too good with names , often misremembering a letter or two or sometimes whole syllables , especially if he’s only recently heard the name or met the person , so while he may recall seeing a face even after years have passed , he won’t always be able to put a name to it .
28. how quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation ??
incredibly slow . he’s very difficult to push far enough for him to go beyond sharp words & shouting , as he’s naturally just , simply put , a fucking weenie . he’ll verbally wreck or slam someone any time , but he won’t even jokingly hit someone , honestly . that being said , it’s not exactly impossible to make him mad to the point where he uses force , it’s just that you’d have to be a ginormous ass to him in his eyes for that to happen .

So very quickly does that larger than life persona fade -- and the magician falls quiet once more, gripping his baton between both hands, tight. Utterly mystified by her presence, he finds himself unable ( or perhaps unwilling ) to see her as little more than an illusion, made only to confuse and bewilder.

phoenix's childhood <3
before the infamous class trial of 2k1, phoenix was incredibly introverted, like he wouldn’t talk to anyone at all unless spoken to & generally just didn’t interact with the other kids unless they initiated it. it wasn’t quite that he avoided contact with the others, but he just wasn’t outright trying to make friends, which naturally meant that no one else actively tried befriending him either. so, to compensate for his lack of friends to spend time with, he got really into the signal samurais show & when reruns would be on, he acted like he was the blue samurai, speaking & moving along with the lines, as if he were in the show, which actually was pretty fun to do. it was a tad strange for his parents to see but hey, he was nine, so they let him have his fun. this actually helped spark initial interest in acting, though this spark was subdued a tad after becoming friends with miles, whose determined enthusiasm about becoming a defense attorney, coupled with his spirited defense at the class trial, inspired him to want to become the same. after miles left, however, phoenix reverted mostly back into the way that he was before, acting once again becoming an interest, yet the inspiration to become a defense attorney was still strong. & while he simultaneously wished to pursue both, it wasn’t until a few years later that phoenix’s heart was set on a shakespearean acting career in specific, a fact for which papers on & lengthy discussions of english literature in school can be thanked.
