my family birthday dinner had to be rescheduled because two weeks ago my brother was told Die Toten Hosen, a really popular German punk rock band that’s been around since the 80s, would give a secret living-room concert in his band’s rehearsal room. It was the first concert in their Magical Mystery Tour, which consist of 12 concerts in private houses, all in secret.
A friend of his applied months ago to be considered, asking if they could use that room and nobody thought they would actually come because there were over 10k applications. And it’s so fucking cool that they were picked because that was the first concert my brother ever went to when he was only 8 like those were his childhood heros and last night they sat on his sofa chatting I’m still baffled and so thrilled for him (and a bit sad I couldn’t be there but really mostly thrilled)
