Well, the last two loaves from my most recent round of soap-making are finally dry and ready to go up for sale in my Etsy shop.
Black licorice with caffeine-

Orange Dreamsicle with caffeine-

I've added butter pecan pie and cinnamon bun scented soaps to my growing line of handmade caffeine soaps. [These are real lard+lye+water soaps, not melt and pour glycerin from the hobby shop.]
As always, I make my soap in 1-2lb loaves, and the listing is for the exact bars in the picture. To see my entire line of caffeine soaps, click here- http://www.etsy.com/shop/PatchworkLaboratory?section_id=10033313
Shower Shock Caffeinated Soap
I simply couldn't help myself. I bought Shower Shock Caffeinated Soap off thinkgeek.com (regular bar $6.99 - but I got the travel size (2.99).. because I'm cheap.)
I've used it twice so far. It wasn't the rush of twitchy hyperactive goodness that I had expected, but I did notice that I felt more... Awake. Today I used it again and once again felt the spark of caffeine - which was soon accompanied with coffee and followed with multiple cups of Mountain Dew and sugar (Ah, family gatherings and their Diabetes-inducing goodness)
I will note that the soap is peppermint scented, and I felt as though I had showered in the peppermint waterfall of pepperminty peppermintland. Oh, if you've seen the Dove soap commercial that advertises against soaps that leave residue on the body, the one that shows the girl with "soap residue" all over her body - it kinda feels like that at first. Almost sticky. Though that may just be because I've always associated peppermint with stickyness (Darn you, Candy canes!) Though after a little bit the sticky feeling goes away. With this said, I kept normal soap around as well. Before buying the soap I read a few reviews and one guy said that the peppermint soap was a little to strong for his "sensitive areas" so use regular soap for that....
If you're looking for a caffeine high, you might as well pass on this one. Although my lack of hyperness may have been due to my overuse of caffeine - yes, I have a problem. So if you aren't used to it, you might get different results.
We live in caffeinated times my friends...
