A New Cat in Our Midst

Birchbug let out a yowl as they hissed at the beast before them. Their intention wasn’t to fight the wolf, there was no way such an inexperienced cat was getting out of such a fight alive. Instead, they only planned to distract the wolf and lead it away from the barn and the lean grey tabby hiding in the bushes nearby.

With luck, the wolf did exactly as Birchbug had hoped, leaving the tom to follow Wheatley into the barn for safety.

I’d ask followers who followed the Grottoclan stories to guess his parentage, but I don’t remember if Shadow was ever shown as an adult in that series and Shrew looks almost identical to his father, who is a cat not from the og series.

The Rise of Birchclan

“Come Newleaf, we shall set out to find a suitable location to set up camp.” Birchbug announced to the gathered cats around them. “Those who wish to join Birchclan may join us, while those who don’t may remain at the barn like before. If any kits wish to join, and reach the age of six moons before Newleaf, Wheatley and I shall train them.” Green eyes land on Snail, the five-moon old kit listening intently. “So that they might come to understand the weight of the decisions they will one day have to make.”
