I've been looking up stuff about Art Fight for the last hour after seeing some stuff about it the last few years and kind been like "👀 this might be fun..." however I've never made a OC in my life and I'm going to be busy in July and I'materribleperfectionist so I'm not sure it would be in the cards for me... but I also crave community and structure with art 🥺

the fact that there are 72,000+ notes on the root change post when viewing on a blog page but less than ~7-8k visible on the dashboard (currently sitting at ~5k replies, ~1.6k reblogs and ~1.3k likes) is a terrible display of how engagement is going to be completely skewed should this update stick around. you would never know how much engagement a post actually gets if the chain is added to and would never be able to know what that engagement was all in one place.

drew with a pencil for the first time in years and realized how much I suck at drawing characters traditionally 💀

#shush alice #i've drawn traditionally in the last year but its usually just figures/shapes with pen i rarely draw actual characters #definitely something i will put in some effort into doing more here and there #it may help me with my tendency to 'zoom the hell in' on a canvas when drawing digital (which leads to me spending too much time on things)#also! i need a pencil sharpener all my pencils are too dull/muddy

I need to devolve as an artist. make something with the messiest most unrefined lineart ever and post it to prove to myself I don't have to worry about making anything so ~clean~ all the time.
