Hundreds of furloughed federal workers and supporters gathered at the Hart Senate Office Building to protest the ongoing government shutdown.
They stood in silent protest for 33 minutes, marking each day of the 33-day shutdown. Protesters held messages on styrofoam plates, symbolic of their lack of pay for food to eat and feed their families.
Meanwhile, Trump’s favorite show Fox & Friends keeps telling him he should stay the course. They’re cherry-picking polls to make Trump think he’s 'winning' the shutdown, even though two new polls out Wednesday morning provide a litany of evidence that Trump’s decision to shut down the government to obtain funding for a border wall is having a devastating effect on his public image.
If the show continues to tell him that he is 'winning' the shutdown, it’s hard to imagine people will get paid anytime soon.
