A thing I really loved about Episode of Amatelast is - so like, there are so many Show By Rock songs where the song contains instruments that nobody in the band plays. Listen to Small&StarLight: There's so much piano in there, on top of the drums and upright bass and poignant twangs. Who's playing the piano?

and I wrote that off as, yeah whatever. There's a lot of piano and synth all over sb69 and not that many keyboardists. Who's playing the piano on World World World? Don't worry about it! (I actually would really like an answer for that, but we're obviously never going to get one at this point, even if there was ever intended to be one)

But for Trichronika, there was an answer! There was a reason that InSight, the most inexplicably Shuu of Trichronika's songs, is the most guitar-heavy, and that Small&StarLight and Science Fiction, the most emotionally honest, are so piano heavy.

The piano was his first love, the truest version of him. The one even Rom only saw once, at the moment that self finally made one last cry for help. The one that he might, just a little bit, be reaching out to again, with the twins supporting him. On the home screen, sometimes, he tells you that he's feeling good today, maybe he'll play the piano a little. It physically hurts him, he can only do it on a good day, but it's the only thing he wanted for its own sake instead of to prove a point.

Despite the presence in so many Trichronika songs, I assume he never plays it live at a show - he needs all his stamina. Probably it's prerecorded, because I also can't imagine him letting anyone else play keyboard on his songs for him, unless it's part of some kind of weird Thing with Titan. (After all, I'm sure he thinks of Titan as his younger self that he might still be able to save from heartbreak - which he's got completely the wrong end of the stick about, Titan's pain is something different from what Shuuzo is projecting on him, but I love to see my faves fuck up so I'm all for it) But I like that there is a reason in universe for it, and since so much of EpiAma was intended to be revealed earlier than it ended up being, I do think it was on purpose the whole time.

Now, none of that justifies why there's so little upright bass in most of their songs...

romshuu is not something you get over . I haven't drawn them in a bit but i think of them often...

Just for you, here's a romshuu from 2022 (when fes closed and i made a joke that shuuzo would lose his job as an idol and have to get another somewhere else, like a cafe, to pay for his hair dye and his meds)
