Imma just come out and say it. I say it a lot on Twitter but I’ve never really said it here. I *love* the dynamic that Seán and Malcolm have. They just seem so close, even more so as adults, despite the fact they live in completely different countries from each other and from most of the rest of their family (as far as I know!) I’ve not even followed Seán’s channel for a huge amount of time, but even in the relatively short amount of time I’ve been here, and from what I’ve “learned”, they both seem to share so much in common and support each other heavily, through their ups and downs, which they’ve both had, and that every single human has to go through to varying degrees and of varying types! I know that we actually know very little of any of their personal lives, only what we are shown (rightly so, as it should be!) but what we are shown still makes my heart swell, and all this support and love from the two of them is so wonderful to see and I dunno why but I get so happy when they are both together!
I have always had it in my head that, as the oldest sibling myself, I have to be the perfect one and set my younger brother a perfect example. I have to never put a foot wrong. I have to do amazing things and I have to show him “the way of the world”, especially since we lost a parent. But that’s simply not the case. It works both ways and should always work both ways. Seán inspires Malcolm as much as Malcolm inspires Seán (and I’m sure it’s mutual from them and all the other siblings too!) They have both done so much good in the world at large and have made such a difference and yet are as humble as ever, and seem as close and bonded as ever. Family, and family love, isn’t measured by physical distance or anything like that in my opinion. It’s by experiences and memories. I hope to have the bond they both seem to have when my brother and I are older! 💚
