Eleanora: You need to be healthy and drink water.
Me: But iced tea sweet...
Eleanora: But what about being a functional human being?
Me: I see your point...but sweet.

What a small world!
Gradually they told the people in their lives about each other. It was hard to avoid, especially for Tobin. She was never on her phone or doing anything other than enjoying what was in front of her, so the sudden change of her being glued to the device was obvious for everyone around her. She was thankful that her friends were so observant. She loved talking about Christen and telling people about how amazing she was. It didn’t take long before all of her teammates and close friends knew about the green eyed woman who had all of Tobin’s attention. Tobin’s favorite reaction to her news was from the one and only Kelley O’Hara. Tobin broached the subject through their weekly Skype call, something they had done for years, whenever either of them weren’t traveling. “So I have a question for you.” Tobin started, looking at her freckled friend through her laptop screen. “Shoot.” Kelley smiled, feeling oddly important at that. Tobin laughed at her expression. “Do you remember someone you went to college with named Christen?” Tobin asked. She wasn’t even sure how to start explaining this all to Kelley. “Christen?” Kelley asked, thinking out loud. “What’s her last name?” “Press.” Tobin responded, waiting for Kelley to think. “Christen Press..” Kelley said again. “OH! Yea, we had a few classes together I think?” “Yea?” Tobin nodded with a laugh. She already knew that, but wanted to hear Kelley’s side of the story. “Yea, she would help me with my calculus homework all the time. She’s really smart.” Kelley said excitedly, remembering back to college. “That’s super random, why are you asking?” “Well.. funny story.” Tobin smiled. “You know how I got back from Italy last week?” Kelley nodded, knowing that Tobin had been on vacation with her family. She waited for Tobin to continue. “Well, I actually met her there.” Tobin laughed, feeling nervous for no reason at all. “What! Seriously!” Kelley giggled. “What a small world!” “I know, right?” Tobin spoke. “And actually we kind of like.. Really hit it off.” “What do you mean?” Kelley asked with genuine curiosity. “We spent most of the week together. Well, the whole week, actually.” Tobin spoke slowly. “And like, sorta fell for each other, I guess?” “Wait, wait, wait.” Kelley stopped her, not understanding. “Christen Press? Super hot, dark hair, green eyes?” She asked, making sure they were, in fact, talking about the same person. “Yea, that’s her.” Tobin smiled, thinking of Christen. “We stayed at the same hotel in Rome. She was there for work and we met the first day and kind of haven't stopped talking since.” “No fucking way!” Kelley’s jaw dropped a little. Tobin laughed hard at her reaction. “Yea, and I’m mad at you for never telling me about her.” Tobin chided jokingly. “Kelley, are you serious! She’s like the most beautiful woman in the world.” “Yea, no shit!” Kelley laughed. “So wait, you and her..? Am I understanding this right?” “Yea, dude.” Tobin said proudly. “We’re gonna try and keep seeing each other. It was a pretty unreal week.” Kelley didn’t have many words, which was unusual for her. She was in shock over the connection. “That is awesome, Tobs!” She said finally. “She sure is something..” Tobin trailed off. Kelley just smiled at her through the screen before she couldn’t hold back anymore. “Oh my god, Tobs, listen to you. Are you gonna be okay?” She teased playfully. Tobin’s tone turned a little more serious. “Honestly, I think I’m in love with her.” She admitted, getting it over with. She wanted Kelley to know it was actually a serious thing, not something she was just bragging about for the sake of it. “Okay.” Kelley smiled encouragingly this time. “Okay, start from the beginning. I wanna hear everything.”
Me: I would like to live life please.
Xai: No! In fact, you’re not gonna be able to sleep!
Me: Oh god, please don’t.
Cecil: WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
Me:
Cecil: BECAUSE WE’RE DELTA AIRLINES, AND LIFE IS A FUCKING NIGHTMARE!
Me: I don’t have a problem with talking to a person I like.
Xai: Here’s a list of all the things that could go wrong, and then you’ll explode.
Me: Understandable. Have a nice day.
Me: I feel good about myself and have moved on from my last relationship.
Me: Right, Emily?
Emily:
Me: Emily?
Emily: ...Taylor Swift just came on.
Me: Dang it.
Me: Alright, time to sleep.
Xai: Ha. No.
Xai: Drink me some bleach boys and yeet my soul I wanna get tossed in a freakin hole...

Cécil: ...It’s free real estate...
Me: Not you too, holy shit.

Cécil: I would, but I got no inspiration.
Me, putting on music that I like: How about now?
Cécil: Okay, so here are all 4,725,836 ideas I came up with.
