the sight of soldiers is not unusual. the sight of them on the dock, among the masts of ships, among the sailors and the fishermen, is not unusual. what is unusual is the tall man, with broad shoulders, gazing over the watery scene before him as though he knew every peak of every wave — and only he was unusual due to the fact that he looked like her husband. her late husband, who had been buried at sea. amelia had to stop herself short, one hand on her stomacher, and she suddenly felt unable to breathe — but gods help her, she was not going to faint right here. when he turned around, presumably to talk to one of his men, amelia had to look away — if she caught a glimpse of his face, it might all be too much.

the breeze was soft and yet the air was cold . the waves rocked the pearl in a tender motion , a calming tempo for a quiet night . 

cold hand found their way in the pockets of his froak and a warm body pressed against his back, trapping the captain between the railing and the tall man behind him. where the hands were warming themselve within the thickness of his coat’s fabric, jack was pulled back with a firm grip on his hips, no space left between the two bodies.

                                               SOOT   &   FILTH    CLAIMED    NEARLY    EVERY    STITCH    ,           of    the    fabric    presented     to    her    long    ago     as    a    petticoat.     the   intricate    design    mixed    in    variations    of    white     could    no    longer    be    admired.    once    porcelain    skin   ,    now   gently    kissed    by    the     beating    of    the     caribbean    sun.    accompanied    by    ash    &    dirt    marks    obtained    during    the     BURNING    OF    RUM.    that   of    which    she    was    certain    she’d    yet    received    the    complete     wrath    of      captain    sparrow.     nonetheless    ,     the    signal    fire    had    caught    the    eye    of     white    sails    ,    owned    &   captained    by    the    royal    navy.   just    as     elizabeth    hoped.    familiar    golden    ringlets    now    flying    freely    around    her    face   ,    loose    &    rather    tangled.     stained    petticoat    disheveled   over    her    lithe    frame    ,    grains   of    sand    caught    between    golden    strands      ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯      she    must    have     looked    a    sight.

the   DAUNTLESS   made   port   ,    aiding   both   jack   &   elizabeth   in   their    rescue    from    the    abandoned     rum     runner’s     island.    awaiting    anxiously    aboard    for    her   return    was    her   father   of    course    ,   who    welcomed    his    daughter    with    a    warm    hug    &    disgusted    look    toward    the    very    pirate    whom    stands    accused    of     elizabeth’s    kidnapping.     tired   ,   doe    orbs    fall    from    either    as    her   father    continued    to    make    false    accusations    ,    &    instead    ,    found     the    commodore.     pale    features    stricken     with    worry    seemed    to    subside    once    they    caught    each   other’s    gaze.     approaching    without    hesitation    ,   she    found    it    difficult    to     restrain    lithe    arms    from    wrapping    around    his    figure.    a    much    needed     sigh    of    relief    parting    her    naturally    pouting    lips    was    given    ,    not    long    before    realizing    her    actions.    lips   parting    once    more    ,    the   comforting    gesture    of    reuniting     was    quickly    put    to    an    end.     though    before    she    had    the    chance    to    speak    but    one    word    to    him    ,    he’d    begun.     the    first    words    falling    off    his    tongue    had    quite    taken    her   by    surprise.    only   a    small   smile    of    reassurance     stretched    across    salmon    colored    lips   ,         ❛    had    it    not     been    for     your    efforts    &    stubborn    determination    to    search    the     seas    ,    i    assume    ,    we    might    very    well    be   .  .   ❜

Having been around for centuries (as a flower)  the sundrop should’ve been used to seeing the occasional person,  but in this NEW form -- it was different.  Everything was different now.    She was experiencing  foreign emotions....    this one in particular ... seemed to be FEAR.  

Rapunzel remained hidden,  gold tinted emeralds watching his every move.  --- What was he doing in the forest?  He wasn’t a hunter...  was he?  

If he was, she wouldn’t allow him to take another step. --- impulsively, she used  golden tresses to lasso one of his legs.  

“W-Who ARE you?? and what do you WANT?”
