Romeo is... not a model you guys. But we did our best- here is The Weird Saddle in action today!! Haven't ridden him in it yet as I want to slowly acclimate him to it, but I'm really loving it. It was SO easy to tack him up today + while he's usually a little girthy, he was less girthy then usual (could be coincidence, could be due to the slow adjustment style of an english rig). It hasn't shown any signs of slipping yet either- we had a little walk in hand around the property and everything stayed put.

Attempted to ride Mary horse yesterday, but it wasn’t super successful.  She was delightful and very good, but it had stormed the night before, which included knocking down a massive tree on to the road the barn is on, so it took me an extra 20 minutes to figure out how to even get here.  Once I did finally get to the barn, the pastures were too muddy and slick to ride in, so I attempted the arena for the first time this spring.  Apparently this gross rainy winter was too much for it, and the footing was absolutely terrible, so I didn’t want to do much. Like I said, Mary horse was a good girl and she tried her best, but were just going to have to wait until it dries back out before we can do anything else.

after 6 months i finally got to ride rimska again🥳 she had laminitis, but she is completely healed now! me and my sister went for a short hack today and rimska was an absolute angel🥺
