I need any other sidereal confluence players to see how fucking good I was playing deep unity last night.

After playing 50 games of it I finally read the Sidereal Confluence lore posts that TauCeti made on BGG. Genuinely this has made me love the game even more. I think its even funnier considering how the balancing turned out. Like, the Faderan are this 30 million year old species who even created two of the other species in The Confluence and yet they're only good if they get very specific draws from their deck of Relic Worlds constructed by past Faderan civilizations.

Also, they say this about the Kjas: "I should point out that the Kjasjavikalimm don't think of themselves as militant. They just see everyone else as near-pacifists and incompetent at warfare. They also, importantly, don't revel in warfare or violence. It's something they happen to be good at, not something that they'd see as a defining trait for themselves." This comes after the statement that "[w]ith underground cities, a single atomic strike can only do so much damage." Their warfare is described as "modern atomic siege warfare.”
