i had a dream that i saw a 60 year old lady cosplaying as deceit at comic con

sanders sides au inspired by a dream i just woke up from and am still reeling from a little bit;

when you dream you enter a dream hub connected to the mind of every other dreaming kid. you’re represented by an avatar, and you have your own little world you can shape however you want. you can also leave and travel to other people’s worlds, but you can’t edit them. like having a minecraft world in view only.

roman was thomas’ dream avatar and every time thomas was asleep, roman would zoom around and explore the worlds and build to his own. thomas and roman were both sentient and could talk to each other- i’m not sure how normal that was?

this alerted the authorities, these green blobs floating around in the tunnels between all the worlds, like white blood cells in a “journey inside the body” story. the authorities gave chase and destroyed thomas’ own hub world. after that thomas kept visiting roman and the dream world, but he had to go from world to world and stay hidden from the green blobs. (i keep wanting to say “our” because i’m kind of describing an au but also describing the first person dream too)

suddenly, after a timeskip, logan, patton, and virgil appeared! they were unfamiliar with how the dream world worked so roman was guiding them through it while they were all being chased. roman had a way of shooting the authorities with pellets to slow them down, but suddenly they were bigger and meaner, and they escaped back to their own, destroyed hub world to hide.

and then i started dreaming about making a fanfic of this dream, and the meta-ness woke me up. where did the rest of the sides come from? why do i feel like i forgot something important? can i involve remy in this somehow? i......don’t know........

Oh my god I had a Sanders Sides dream that all the Sides were in a big argument and asked Thomas to leave the room so they could talk about something in private. I don’t even remember what that was but I do remember that, while Thomas was gone, a new part of Thomas’ brain was revealed: Cartoon!

Which was just every cartoon character Thomas ever liked. Including the Sides because they had been cartoons once (and had been made into cartoons by fans—I saw @colorful-unknown’s Accepting Anxiety animation in my head for a second).

Then Thomas’ brother came in and kidnapped all the hundreds of cartoon characters and sold them for fun and profit. It seemed like a really dramatic cliffhanger, but then I looked at the episode time and realized it was 1 hour, 99 minutes long. I woke up before finding out if the Sides ever got rescued, though.

I had a dream that an entire Sanders Sides episode came out with no prior announcement at all. Breaking it down:

It was really long. Like, I wish I could remember all of it.

Deceit was in it.

The camera swiveled around

The camera’s swiveling revealed Thomas both to the left of the camera and in front of it, next to all the Sides standing in a chorus line, and I was like “wait there are two Thomas?! is this dark side shenanigans?!”

It WAS dark side shenanigans

All the Sides got turned into objects representing their purpose and thrown into a pool

And that’s what the voiceover said. ALL the Sides. And there were way more than five objects in there.

(In the dream I checked Tumblr and this was the main thing I saw people freaking out about)

Judging by the dream, possible new Dark Sides: someone represented by a nutrition facts label, a black rock, a green hand covered with the alchemical symbols for the elements, a paper with quotes from Logan written on it

Possible names: superiority/egotism, sociopathy, monkey brain

Thomas grew a beard and Deceit sang a song about shaving it off

But he said Roman should shave it off, and Roman was a paintbrush

Thomas got paint all over his face

Virgil was a razor though (actually, that’s fitting) and shaved off the beard

Not without whispering (don’t worry mama’s got this) into Thomas’ ear which was weird?????

Later in the episode Virgil was scribbling on a whiteboard trying to come up with a better name for himself. Many of them still contained the word “mom” though. GNC/Bigender Virgil was confirmed.

Thomas (me) almost locked himself out of his dorm by forgetting his room key but Virgil was waiting by the door like “I gotchu fam” and handed it to him—anxiety makes you doublecheck things!

The other Sides didn’t do as much, and they were acting slightly out of character

Like, Patton was extra sweet but Roman and Logan were extra salty.

We then transitioned into a dream involving The Adventure Zone so I’m pretty sure the episode ended there. No lessons were learned.

I had a DREAM within a DREAM that the Sides were at a high school making a huge mess of things—Logan was arguing with the teacher, etc. Then I told them to all leave and go to a theme park or something, and they did.

But then my dream OUTSIDE that dream was that I was wandering around waiting for my work shift to start, and I met Thomas Sanders. It was really hard to talk to him because a couple other people recognized him and I didn’t want to be rude. But I was able to tell him about my dream.

As soon as I mentioned theme parks, his eyes lit up, and I think I accidentally hit on an idea he was planning for a future video? He started muttering under his breath, and then he started trying to give a name to the theme park idea. A lot of other people found him and started being loud. Suddenly, I thought of a good name and screeched “ROADSIDE ATTRACTIONS” at the top of my lungs.

But it was too late. Thomas Sanders was lost among the crowd. I wonder what his plans were.
