i really am dead serious when i say seven more minutes 1999 is a legitimately masterful concept album it just requires being knee deep in fucking weezer yaoi to actually understand. but when you get it like You Get It. even with the spaniard girl b plot thing it connects back to it bc like Oh whys he in spain in the first place? because he left la. why did he leave la? looks to the side. even a thing i have admittedly joked about before (being that thing where he just stops doing songs about the spaniard girl halfway through and they become Just about rivers) that even still connects back to the whole overarching narrative. bc the spaniard girl may or may not be real but regardless her role in the narrative of smm is to be the distraction that matt uses while trying to move on and over the course of the album he FORGETS HER!!!! UNTIL ALMOST THE VERY END!!!!!!! HE CANT STAY FOCUSED ON HIS OWN MADE UP DISTRACTION THATS HOW BAD THIS SHIT IS!!!!!!!!! UUGGGGGHHHHHHH
