Well, since it seems like everyone is doing one of these, I might as well share my story of how I first found out about markiplier in celebration of his 8 million subscribers!!!
So this was around the first month or so after FNAF came out, and I couldn’t buy the game myself because 1) I was broke and still am, and 2) I don’t have a Steam, so I wanted to watch someone play it instead. I asked one of my friends if they had a YouTuber that they could recommend to me, and they said “Oh! You should check out this guy named Markiplier! He’s doing a Let’s Play of FNAF right now and he’s really funny!” and I was like “Who the fuck is Markiplier?”, so I looked him up and I watched the videos that he had up for FNAF at the time and I instantly fell in love with him (platonically of course).
Not only was his commentary hilarious, he made it easier to sit through FNAF (I get startled very easily and jumpscares can do a number on me sometimes). After that, I subscribed to him and browsed his channel to watch more of his videos. I couldn’t stop watching them! He always says the most hilarious things and I never got bored with him! He made everything really funny and I just adore his voice and his sense of humor!
Another reason why I love him so much is because of how animated he is. I have Autism, and that means that sometimes it’s really hard for me to read body language or facial expressions, and that can hinder on how I interpret things. With Mark, though, since he's so animated and expressive with his facial expressions and his voice and his body language, that makes him so much easier to read than most people and I find it so much easier to enjoy his videos, since I can read him really well! I’ve been subscribed to him ever since!
Mark, if you're reading this, I just want to let you know that I strive to be someone who is as positive and caring and kind and loving and considerate and giving as you! You are honestly such a huge inspiration in my life, and you've helped me get through breakups, family troubles, grief, all of that sad stuff. Every time I've watched your videos, you've helped me feel so much better about myself, and I am so glad that someone like you exists in this world. I know that my life would be way different than it is now had I not ever found out about you. I honestly think I would be way sadder than I am now (not to say that I'm sad all the time of course), and you helped with me not being so sad. You bring sunshine into my dark and cloudy days, and I am eternally grateful for your existence in this world.
Please keep being awesome, and I hope that you reach 10 million subscribers someday!!
