Or, the one where Geno dates a lot of people before realising the love of his life has been in front of him all along.

So I think that fandom often creates tropes for the characters involved, even in rpf, which makes it really interesting when a fic subverts the trope and introduces something new. That is probably why I enjoyed this fic so much. I think that the image of Geno as a player doesn’t really appear in fic form, and this was perfectly done. Read, marvel, and read it again!

Sidney’s wedding day doesn’t go quite as he’d planned. When he’d bothered to imagine it at all, he’d thought of a nice June wedding in Nova Scotia, outdoors with the sun streaming down. He hadn’t imagined this hurried affair on the tarmac on a rainy and unseasonably cool day in early September, a month after his twenty-fifth birthday.

Okay, so starting out, I got into real people fanfiction which explains the hockey rpf I’m reccing. But...come on...it’s thehoyden, if you don’t trust thehoyden, I don’t know what fanfiction you’ve be reading. Anyway, it’s pretend relationship, pining, manpain, and cute guys. What more do you need?
