While instinct demands that he follow Sidonai’s orders, that he retreat - Sytry’s entire living is based on his utility as a weapon, too. He isn’t weak - although, to be fair, this next part of his plan will require him to pretend to be weak, if only for a moment. 

Electricity crackles in his palms, and he lightly springs up, cleanly using a blaze of light to decapitate a few foot soldiers advancing on him and Sidonai. He considers manifesting his wings for a moment - it would certainly empower him - but he decides to wait to use the power boost for his escape, later. 

As Si’s attention shifts to dealing with an attacker, Sytry gently says, “I’m sorry, love - “ before he takes off into the air, straight for the enemy commanders. For a moment, he wishes he were able to use his light powers in his current form - it would allow him to use a mirror image to at the very least, confuse his opponents about his current position.

He recognizes the girl with the sweet, high-pitched voice - as well as Holika, whom he recognizes sheerly from descriptions he’s heard. 

While he’s able to dodge all offensive attacks aimed at him due to his familiarity with the air, he wonders if he should try to kill one of them - for his lover’s sake - before allowing his own capture. As he lands, sparks fly from the ground, scorching the earth in jagged, black formations in lines snaking away from the impact.
