If Doctor Who is canon in Doctor Who, then Steven Moffat is canon, so doesn't that mean that for the Doctor's own survival and the stability of causality itself he should ensure Moffat is not assassinated by rabid RTD fans?
Yes true this is a good point.
(However I will maintain that Doctor Who is a documentary and that it is following the life of Owl Man and the TARDIS, hence how Doctor Who can appear on Doctor Who. They are portraying it as it happened.)
