The druid hummed happily to herself as she moved about the cases, prowling through the stacks and peering at the leather bound tomes that had been added to the collection by the intrepid librarian. The same librarian that was padding along behind her with a bit of a wariness to his gait, despite the easy familiarity between the two. It was rare that she visited his sanctum and pawed through his precious collection...he paused and corrected himself. Her collection. He was merely the caretaker the druid allowed.
She was amassing quite the collection, and if it hadn’t been for the minor concentration needed to keep the levitation spell charged for the tomes she’d picked out, he’d have let his mind wander into memories evoked by seeing the trolless stretch up on her toes to reach a high shelf, or bend down to scan the lower racks. Siet’sul shivered lightly, dredging his mind from the terrifying, yet exhilarating memories of the bare teal flesh that’d been beneath his well kept claws. The young troll mage sighed lightly, and mentally lowered the stack she’d collected while the trolless smiled warmly and added another to the pile.
She seemed...relaxed. More at ease than he’d seen her in days. Despite the rumors of another attack he knew to be true from the terrified women of the Corner, the emerald haired beauty he’d once been enraptured with was moving as if walking on air. The past few times he’d caught sight of her, she had been as tense as a bowstring about to snap.
When she bent again, caressing the spine of a low shelved book to carefully suss out the contents within, his eyes strayed out of habit. True, he’d seen what lay beneath the low cut white linen blouse she was wearing plenty of times, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t continue to admire when she inadvertently put them on display once more, the loose fabric draping forward to near indecency. A small smirk played about his tusked lips then, for he thought he knew why the trolless was humming. Faint marks could be glimpsed, the pattern reminiscent of fingers squeezing just roughly enough to be seen the next day.
She straightened with another tome in hand, arching a brow and lifting both ears as she caught the mage’s smirk. Clearly, she had not caught his peeking, else she’d likely have grinned back at him. Instead, bemusement marred her features. “I..think this should be enough to last her for a little while. Do you think I’ve gotten enough variety in this?” A hand was gestured at the floating stack of books nearly as tall as her at this point.
“If you do not, you can always return these when she is finished and come back for more.” He replied as she had, in their native tongue, seeing no need to wrap his lips around Orcish when it was just the two of them. “But Tase...” Siet’sul frowned, adjusting his spectacles on the bridge of his long, angular nose. “How are you going to carry all these when you reach Silvermoon? You know I cannot accompany you at this time, your husband might need me.”
To this, the trolless only smiled brightly and beckoned him outside the library and into the Great Hall proper. There, he almost laughed at what was possibly the saddest expression on a canine face he’d ever seen. The great brown male named Lykaeus and his mate, a smaller chocolate female called Lakni, were harnessed with over sized saddlebags. Tasezak gestured for him to set the books down near the waiting wolves.
“Her husband mentioned the pets she has about the house. I’m sure she won’t mind two visiting, well behaved wolves, especially if they come bearing gifts.”
