Thought I'd type up a little intro to my works ✌️
I currently have three stories I'll be posting about here - one that is in the editing/further drafting stage, one I have plotted, and one I'm just noodling with the characters and concepts.

Sights Unseen is a romantasy adventure involving political intrigue, false identities and, sometimes, pirates.
It primarily follows Nico, a human sailor/ship's clerk on a cargo ship who is living quietly and with his head down to escape the pressures of his past life as heir to a small but strategically important kingdom called Stoneshore. In an unusual turn, his captain takes a contract to carry a mysterious young elven nobleman across the sea to Stoneshore - who turns out to be none other than Prince Devwin Marreau of Unified Montaraine, Nico's arranged betrothed since childhood, who he has never met but who is now sailing to marry his brother, Jesper, in Nico's absence.
But Nico is not the only one with a false name and twist in his life story. He can't ignore the way Devwin seems subdued, under the thumb of his personal guard one moment, and acting out, seeking attention - including Nico's attention - the next. When a crewmember unwittingly divulges their high-value passenger's presence on the ship to the wrong stranger at port, Devwin's secrets become the kink in the chain that throws his life into jeopardy, and Nico finds he can't leave him to his fate.
When the powerful play with the fates of their lessers, what is left to do but take the stars in one's own hands?
Tropes include: Gay Autistic MC/Bi Transmasc Nonbinary MC; secret identities; mutual pining; gratuitous elf whump; "guy who never expected to see kindness again" x "guy who would set himself on fire to keep others warm (derogatory)"; Sapphics giving bad relationship advice; service topping; fate as a river, not a road.
Sights Unseen is the first book in a planned trilogy.

Regicide is a dark romantasy spinoff of Sights Unseen, taking place in the same universe. It explores justice, redemption, and loyalty.
It follows Aurika, a dryymun (tiefling/devilkin) court mage in Idera, a neighboring country to Stoneshore. Aurika completed her apprenticeship in the shadow of a deadly scandal which rocked the Ideran court and culminated in the execution of the king's own wife. Now, ten years later, Aurika knows the value of loyalty and striving for perfection. So why does this newcomer, a human of unclear profession invited by the king, named Torunn, seem to make her question the powers that be, even without saying their names?
As Torunn's motivations emerge, it becomes clear that they know something about the long ago scheme that they're keeping from Aurika, beyond a fondness for the late beheaded queen. Aurika isn't sure Torunn is trustworthy - but knowing what she does now, can she trust anyone in the palace at all?
Tropes include: Female wizard x genderfluid rogue; mathlete x kid who smokes weed in the bathroom energy; friends to enemies to lovers; "fuck redemption - I want vengeance."

The Thrall WIP is an ambiguous set of characters and ideas that I'm playing with, but which does not currently have a set plot structure or intended end form. It is an urban fantasy vampire story which closest fits the whump genre. It contains a sexual/romantic relationship between the protagonist and antagonist, but is not a romance.
It follows Kieran, a man struggling to make ends meet in small town British Columbia, Canada, after fleeing a dangerous lover in Vancouver seven years ago. The thing is, though Kieran left the city, he has never escaped Isaiah, the vampire who enthralled him, and remains under Isaiah's control in a medium-distance half-relationship, half-cat and mouse game set up those seven years ago. So long as Kieran can take care of himself to Isaiah's standards, he can live independently, only visiting or being visited a few times a year. But Kieran is always reminded that a space is ready for him in Isaiah's home for when he gets tired of the struggle and gives in. It would mean death - no other thrall of Isaiah's has lasted longer than 18 months - but it would be a short life of leisure and comfort in the meantime.
Though that comfort does not tempt Kieran, Isaiah has begun teasing that he may not let this game of theirs go on indefinitely, that there is a point at which Kieran's reward for outlasting him will only be to die exhausted. Struggling already to meet Isaiah's demands and make rent at the same time, he must find a way out of this long nightmare soon. He cannot see the clock, but he can hear it ticking.
