bridgerton asks: 4 / 6 / 16 / 21 / 23
Did 4, 16, and 21.
6: Favorite Bridgerton Sister
Francesca Bridgerton Stirling, definitely. I think she benefits a lot from being a widow in her book, so she’s more experienced (not only sexually, but in a general way too). I also super relate to her loving her family a lot but just... needing her own space too. I always love that outside character who’s part of the group, but not always around, but can just step into that space effortlessly. Also, she’s incredibly smart, able to run an estate on her own, and so, so strong.
23: How many seasons do you think the show will have?
I have three theories.
8 seasons: This optimistic, probably won’t happen theory. One season per book, one for each sibling. They might film a couple of seasons together, recast Hyacinth and Gregory. I would LOVE this, but I don’t have much faith it will happen.
3: This seems to be Netflix’s general cut-off. It gets too expensive to produce after this point if there’s not a certain viewership. They get cancelled without finishing up the storylines, probably ending with some sort of Lady Whistledown cliffhanger that never gets resolved. This is my nightmare since... that means no Pen/Colin season.
5 season: This is my happy medium of theories - possible, but also would make sense narratively. They skip Hyacinth and Gregory’s stories, maybe tease them in the background somehow, but let Colin/Pen’s story take place in both season 3 & 4, with Eloise’s taking place in 4 & 5, with Francesca getting a little bit in seasons 3 - 5. So none of those three get their own season, but their stories are woven together. Again, they could film season 3 & 4 (and maybe even 5) together, which would cost less too.
