Sigyn walked almost aimlessly through the halls on her way back from the All-Father’s private office, Loki having gone his own way soon after they left. Such business wasn’t proper for the public, though they would be notified through the proper channels. The divorce of one of the Prince’s from his wife of almost a millennium was, unfortunately, pertinent information for them to know.
She smiled slightly at those that greeted her, but there was no feeling behind it. She felt almost numb. She thought there would be relief after it was done. She had, after all, been the one to ask for the dissolution of marriage. But there was…nothing.
Stopping, she looked around, almost surprised to see herself in front of Thor’s chambers. He had been such a good friend to her these last few years, as the state of her marriage started to decline at an alarming rate.
Raising a hand, she hesitated for a moment before knocking gently. There was silence and she thought perhaps he wasn’t in. He probably wasn’t in. He was probably training with the soldiers as he was often doing. Or he may still be resting, in which case she shouldn’t bother him.
The last thing Thor expected was guests at this hour. He’d been prepared leave on a week journey to the edge of Asgard. Odin claimed it was a diplomatic trip and that the people needed him there but Thor suspected he was just doing the Allfathers dirty work. No one ever wanted to travel to the poor, dangerous, slums of the realm.
"Come in." Thor called through the door as he stuffed another shirt into the large leather bag on his bed. He turned to look at the guest and was surprised to see his brother’s wife at the door. "Hello, Sigyn. What can I do for you?"
