“I would take the compliment, but there is no darkness to be found when you are near, so that cannot be truth,” she smirked. It was difficult to find a flirtatious way to answer, but she had found one.

“Narfi used to bring me all kinds of creatures he found; frogs, mice, bugs and the like. Once he ran up to me, a grin on his face the size of all Asgard, and shoved an animal in my hand. When I looked down, it was a baby bird. It was perhaps the only time in my life I have come close to fainting.” She could laugh about it now, but in the moment she had nearly thrown the poor thing. 

“But I held the wretched creature in my hands as if I were holding the sun for him. I cannot recall seeing him so happy. And he ran away with glee when I suggested he show his father as well. I would give anything for him to do it one more time.”
