Silent Question
Summary: honestly no idea. Just a real life experience i felt like putting into words because i couldnt sleep.
Pairing: Mystery!character x reader (i invisioned it as Bucky but its whatever ;)
Warnings: None? Maybe my grammar mistakes.
Word Count: no idea. Less than 500.

It was a silent question. Nothing more than your hand laying palm up beside you and a quizzical look through your lashes at the man beside you. Were you asking too much of him as you sat around a fire with his friends whom you had just met? You weren't sure. But you wouldn't know unless you asked, even if you didn't say a word.
He wasn't the sort of man to hide his feelings, but he also wasn't one to leave himself vulnerable in front of others; even if it was his friends.
Would he ignore your silent plea? Would he tell you not in front of them? Would he accept the offer that he had only been given when alone?
You didn't know.
So you watched quietly while his eyes glanced to yours, a puzzled furrow of his brow forming as he saw a request he couldn't place in your eyes. You let your eyes flutter to your hand briefly before meeting his gaze again as recognition and a sweet smile dawned on his features. His hand reaching for yours immediately, linking your fingers together.
A relieved and somewhat giddy smile that only he could coax from you appeared on your lips as others around the fire shared knowing glances and smirks but said nothing. Glancing around the circle you were sitting in he saw the looks of the others but said nothing, only smiling at you again and squeezing your hand in reassurance as if reading your thoughts.
Without a word between you, he had given you an answer that left you feeling brighter than the stars above you, and you couldn't shake the feeling that he felt it too.
