Summary:

Toddler Ash headcanon: The first time Delia shows Ash the movie Bambi (with a Deerling and Sawsbuck) Ash gets so upset when the mother dies that Delia has to stop the film to console him. The next morning, Ash doesn't want to out into the forest to play, he says "The hunter might find us, I don't want you to get shot like how Bambi's mother did" Delia explains to Ash how that WILL NOT happen, but little Ash, wraps himself around Delia's leg, "You're my only mommy," so they play in the yard...;3;

Delia's regret after showing Ash the movie Bambi: it takes a little while to get Ash not to be so skittish around the around the forest again, he hisses at it, throws rocks (one hit an unsuspecting Metapod that sprayed him), and he tries to drag his mother past it as fast as his little legs (and her long ones) will take him. Ash then blames the Prince of the Forest for not saving Bambi's mother like how he saved Bambi when he was lost during the stampede in the meadow, "Where was the daddy?!"

Delia's continued regret after showing Ash the movie Bambi: Ash thinks he sees the "Hunter" and screams for all the other kids playing to RUN (pictured in the background Delia mentally banging her head on a wall) and then later on that evening, Ash comes up to her with his little fists clenched, eyes all welled up, "If you have to die for me to met daddy, then I don't care if I ever meet him!" After putting Ash to bed, she then literally bangs her head against the wall =w=;;;

Ash's mother tries to FINALLY put Ash's fears to rest after watching Bambi: Ash had no idea how the movie would turn out! All he saw was a momma and her son with a far away dad, like him! So Delia takes (drags) Ash out into the forest. He is BAWLING because he's so scared the "Hunter" is going to kill his only momma. Delia finds a tree, and they sit. "There are no 'Hunters' here Ash, just the forest. If you want to be a pokemon trainer one day, you have to be brave. I will be fine sweetheart."             

Sorry I had a lot of Ash and mom feels and I had to share owo;;;  

ASDFGHJKL; omg this is so sweet and adorable!! Smol Ash protecting his only mommy and not wanting the evil hunter come, someone gotta make sure she’s safe since dad is so useless! But can’t grow into big strong trainer if not able to face fears; also poor Delia lmao~

Well y'all probably already know this but Imma suggest it anyway, warm tea, or, any warm beverage really, can help soothe some pain =w=b But boooo, that driver should have been looking where they were going :/ I commute in Houston, traffic jam central, and have been run into the highway shoulder by an 18-wheeler so I totes feel Karkat in having to drive with a bunch of nooddle bum fricks out there, its' no fun =3=;;; I hope he feels better soon! *hug*

I HEAR TEA IS A PRETTY GOOD CATCHALL CURE FOR A LOT OF THINGS. THINGS LIKE THE FEELING OF SANDPAPER BEING SWALLOWED DURING A VIRUS OR AFTER A LONG DAY OF SHOUTING EVERY GODDAMN WORD YOU SPEAK. YES. I’VE HEARD TELL THAT HOT BEVERAGES WORK SUCH WONDERS.

I ALSO HEAR IT ISN’T IN BRICK FORM WHEN TOSSED ANGRILY OFF OF SHIPS INTO BOSTONIAN WATERS.

*MORE HUGS* Hey Eri, if it might help, when I get really down, I do the 'It's a Wonderful Life' thing, like, what things would be like if I was gone and stuff, and what I would have never gotten the chance to experience. Grant it, its easier to think so many would be better off, but, that's just not the case. Sometimes you just have to validate your existence yourself, even on the days it feels better to erase it.
