Having the specter floating around just out of her vision was fairly normal for Ava, the ghost might not do it as much as one would think, but it's usually of little concern for her because of that. It often amounted to something catching her interest or general boredom coupled with a desire to be a nuisance to her host, so the even rarer occurrence when Khalaas actually does something useful is cause for some sort of alarm.

As casually as she could, Ava tried to look around to who the ghost was talking about, although it doesn't exactly work. Ava's head had snapped up, turned too fast, and she's staring at the other with a wary expression.

She mumbles something under her breath, head turning slightly to where the specter is hovering, eyes never once leaving the other. With a sigh, she starts to move closer, a hand waving awkwardly at Twyla. "Hey, uh..." Words fail her, hand dropping awkwardly to her side. "...Sorry, 's nothing."

The voice startles Caine out of his thoughts. He was planning the next adventure, even while the others are actively on today's, having been sent through one of his portals only moments ago. The sound of someone in the circus makes him jump, just a little, a shiver running through his floating form. But he recovers quickly, swinging around in the air to rest his gaze on the new person - certainly no AI that he's created, he can tell.

The definitively purple avatar is hard to miss, and he is quick to grab his cane and his hat, which had both been floating freely, and put them back in proper order. His teeth curve into a smile as much as he can offer one, and his eyes go wide as he shifts close to them.

❛ Well, now, my little purple pupa, you seem to have stepped foot into my circus! Welcome, welcome! You've come at a rather inconvenient time, since today's adventure has already begun, but I suppose I can keep you occupied more personally this way. How are you feeling? Some of you humans get a little sick when you first arrive, after all. ❜

❛ I suppose introductions are also in order! I'm Caine, ringmaster and host of the circus. Bubble here is my darling assistant. And you would be ... ? ❜

Yelvie was simply excited! The alien running in circles around the other as their feelers wiggled in excitement! A new person! How lovely!

" Hello! I'm Yelvie from planet Zuvris! Who are you? Are you okay? Can we be friends? " They asked, seemingly happy to simply meet another living organism. Well to be fair..their kind wasn't meant to be alone for too long!

The sound of the hybrid's anxiously lashing tail could be picked up in the near silence of the evening, drowned out only by the occasional car driving by. Even the crickets had vacated the area where the apex predator sat hidden underneath outdoor bleachers, chewing on one of his paint brushes.

Tetra would be inside, but last month he'd trashed his apartment and that was too expensive to do a second time. So instead he picked what he figured would be a mostly abandoned area - til he heard the crunch of boots on fallen leaves nearby.

Without much thought to it, let alone looking to see who was approaching, he growled.

"Go away!"

Jon had started to nod, before a realization hit him and he began to shuffle his cane about as he frantically pats his pockets. "Wait-" A few awkward seconds of searching later, he pulls a small plastic bag full of treats from his pocket, offering it out towards Draculaura. "Here. I carry some on me when I come through here, otherwise I'll get ganged up on."
