Flamingo Fact #1: Back in Ancient Rome, Emperors would eat Flamingo tongue. It was a considered a straight up delicacy, like Caviar, Truffles or Wizz Fizz in our times, but lots of people weren't happy, especially poets, who are never happy about anything, and would write poems about how mean it is to kill a bird just for its tongue. #whingers Flamingo Fact #2: Flamingos aren't naturally a vibrant pink. They get pink from eating algae which has something called Beta-Carotene in it, which turns them pink, and not orange as you'd assume, given its CAROTene. Either way, the pinker the flamingo, the healthier the bird. #pinkispower Flamingo Fact #3: Despite everyone claiming scientists are all smart and stuff, they don't actually know why Flamingos like to stand on one leg. They make lots of fancy claims and theories using big words and stuff, but it's all just guesswork #sillyscientists
