Soft Soldered Star Pearls | StrawberryNida
Well I couldn’t resist making one. This is my 2nd shot at casting metal and it turned out much better. It’s a 114gr 9mm solid .999 silver bullet with 5.2gr of WSF powder in a nickel sig case. I had to increase the diameter of the mold in the casting sand so it would be .355 when it cooled. I’d found in my first attempt just doing a straight cast from a factory 9mm bullet ended up with about .350 which is too loose to load. It’s a novelty item and I don’t plan on shooting it (unless there is a werewolf problem locally lol). I may in the future make another one to try and if I do I’ll post the results.
Suspended ring from a scramasax scabbard found at Birka. I couldn't casted it in brass, so, I casted it in silver to do a pendant.
