Heyo! Two updates at once? Or just a way to skip writing two completely different texts, which is lazy of me, but hey! What can you do?
Now first, I apologize I haven’t been able to update as regularly, one due to life being hectic, and two because my health has been in the crapper. Back when I almost got walking pneumonia my immune system basically shut itself down, so now I’m still repairing from that. Or in other words, I get sick way too often now, and that’s why there was no update last week.
But to the meat of the matter: my work last week with LP. The week prior, we had filmed a live concert in Berkley for Pamela Rose and Blues is a Woman. It was an entertaining show that pulled you in with music and history. If you see the footage don’t be surprised to hear my foot tapping along to the songs or me humming (I know unprofessional, but I couldn’t help it!)
However, I am big enough of a man to admit when I did something wrong, and I might have almost caused the show to be postponed for a few minutes. During tech prep I was handling the camera that had audio feed going into it, but I noticed that the feed had nothing, so I chalked it up to just prep, and didn’t voice my concerns. However, by third check, I noticed it still didn’t have any sound, so finally I announce it, and I get facepalms all throughout the theatre. It was however, the audio cord being plugged into the wrong input, causing the problem, so we were able to continue on.
At the end of the show LP and I stuck around to grab the footage for him to edit and create a video for Ms. Rose. During our wait for two hours as an hour and half of footage would transfer to the drive, we were able to talk about doing a video for the venue for their upcoming 50th Anniversary in 2018. However, I am planning on moving during the same year, so I might have a lot travel expenses coming up.
Anyways, to finish up this other large block of text that seems to take up this site, I ended up catching a stomach bug last week. Thankfully, it only lasted a couple of days, though when my dad caught it, it only lasted an hour, so either my immune system is really weak or his is way too strong. But due to that I was unable to update last week, as well as not have anything else of note to say, much to the chagrin of others who might read this and wish that I talked about them in depth.
So with that, I hope you have a good day!
