max pays a surprise visit to jasmine’s cottage. after a flustered hello, she proudly shows him her greenhouse, and he helps her gather warm nests for her chickens. they spend the rest of the afternoon happily making snowmen and snow angels. more than once, jas catches herself staring at max...

while delivering vegetables to the bistro, jasmine notices a guy jogging past and decides to strike up a conversation (nothing to do with him being hot & shirtless, of course). later that evening, they hang out on the park swings and she learns that max is athletic & a green thumb... could the stars be aligning...?!

max mcdermott — a farm boy to the heart, max prefers the humble life and has been planting things since he could crawl. his favourite past-times include fishing the river simomon with his brother travis, indie music, and playing football. max now finds himself at crossroads: to settle into his love for gardening or chase dreams of playing for the riverview league?

jasmine visits her new crush on a crisp sunday morning. she is delighted to find max on a farm of apple trees and hay bales, hard at work raking leaves. he greets her happily and they exchange notes on gardening: jas discovers, with growing excitement, that the mcdermott family farm is the oldest in riverview, plowing acres of golden wheat fields & living off the land for generations.

jasmine and max hang out at the local watering hole. they have fun playing foosball, chugging questionable juice, and dancing to the radio; simple things, but jas enjoys herself far more than the fancy bistro date with will. when a romantic indie song comes on, max offers his hand...
