backstory
abandoned as a very young child, gil has spent most of his life searching for the childhood and innocence he lost long ago. this need, along with many of his other interests, conflict directly with his job- a detective with the underground network that investigates violent crime within the supernatural community. while he also does a lot of research, more often that not this carries him to many places and situations that are full of death and despair. in turn, he clings to his childish ways even more desperately as a way to cope. however, he had never really considered the idea of falling in love or sharing his life with someone else until now. he’s a little naive when it comes to romance, but earnest in a way that is rarely seen with people in his line of work. when it comes to someone he loves, he is honest, loyal, and would move mountains to see them smile.
