Albany played host to the premiere of the movie ‘Breath’. Written by Tim Winton and directed by and starring the very talented Simon Baker. We were lucky to get up close to the cast at this exclusive red carpet event. The film centres around Denmark & Albany in Western Australia and is a stunning depiction of the book.

We were lucky enough to see the WA premiere of Breath last night. Absolutely loved it; stunning cinematography of our beautiful Denmark & fabulous depiction of the book’s themes, especially by the two young boys @samsoncoulter & @benspence3. Tim Winton’s voice-overs and narration ensured a true reflection of the evocative language of his book. Release date is May 3rd - go & see it if you can!

Very fortunate to be invited to the red carpet gala premiere of Simon Baker’s film “Breath” . As gracious as he was 20 years ago when I had the pleasure of managing cast and crew logistics on a film called Red Planet. He and his wife Rebecca Rigg were a pleasure to deal with and I’m sure so many years on they are just the same. Thank you Simon for showcasing our dramatic West Australian coastline and congratulations on your directing debut of this must see Australian made film based on Tim Winton’s novel. Engaging the audience in a mix of emotions, a wonderful wholesome story it truly is
