What William’s ‘Fun-eral’ Teaches Me About Living My Perfect Day
Like many of you out there, I too am a big fan of the NBC Drama, “This Is Us.” I think the show speaks to each of us a bit differently, but Episode 17 really stuck with me.
What struck a chord with me was the idea of your perfect day. It really got me thinking, what is my perfect day? And, how can I proactively incorporate more elements of my perfect day into everyday?
My Perfect Day would go something like this:
1. Wake up early in a cozy, warm bed full of pillows and blankets.
2. Open the curtains the let the light in. Check the news and weather.
3. Head out for a cool, morning run in the sunshine.
4. Sip on a hot cup of coffee while I catch up on the day and plan for what’s to come.
5. Yoga or more exercise.
6. Spend time with my husband.
7. Enjoy fresh vegetables and bubbles for dinner.
8. Go for an evening walk.
9. Light all the candles, enjoy the fresh air breezing through the house while watching one of my favorite TV shows.
10. Go to bed early. Curl up under the blankets reading for an hour or so before drifting off to sleep.
If you really boil it down, my perfect day is quite simple. It’s calm, yet active. Simple but just right. The best part is that this really is my typical day every day. Sure, I typically have to insert “work” or “errands” or some other nonsense, but when I really step back, I feel pretty grateful.
