So, I heard an AI AJ Jolene cover and got to talking about how if I wanted to hear Applejack sing Jolene, I'd sing it myself. Someone requested I figure out a way to make it about Rarity and it very quickly turned into a song about Applejack's POV during Simple Ways. Revised lyrics under the cut. Note that I kind of recorded the whole thing in one take, so if there are places where the lyrics don't quite match what I sang, I absolutely just messed it up or didn't enunciate well enough.

Have you thought that the smiling critters, despite coming from an horror game, may be a mix of My little pony & care bears but even better?

In fact I thought that Craftycorn may be doing like Rarity for how she looks obviously but on the inside she's different, she and Dogday are even a backwards Sparity if you can Imagine.

This comic is inspired by the Mlp g4 episode "simple ways" where Rarity has a crush on another unicorn and made a shrine about him, I also dresed Crafty & Picky like Rarity & Applejack were in that episode.

simple ways was so vindicating for 12yo me. Like Applejack beautiful? yes, YES SHE IS, she always has been. Somebody sWOONING OVER HER without her even TRYING?? woof. Her in a GIRly girl dress that the plot hardlly calls for that isnt even tailored to her aesthetic? Her playing up her fancy side?? this was just fanservice (not the explicit kind)

And somehow the best part is that she doesnt even play into it, not even for the bit. Whole time shes just like "get this mf off of me PLEASE I AM NOT INTERESTED." love her lesbian ass lmao

Couldn't find this in either of the Tabitha tags I just checked (but, of course, it's not like Tumblr shows good results, cough) According to a con interview, this episode "broke Tabitha" (Kind of wish Ashleigh had done a more Southern Belle for Apple Jewel, much less Tabitha's genius-level of mixed accents, but I guess it's in character that Applejack was going more for maximum trolling than attempted authenticity. Still, all credit, Ashleigh's delivery of "I smell like rosebuds" is incredibly funny.)
