while she didn’t have many days left before officially heading off for royal survival (meaning that packing would probably be a good idea), dawon had jumped at the chance to help mingyu in what seemed to be his time of need. while the best gifts were more so her cousin’s forte, dawon didn’t see a reason that she couldn’t at least try; after all, what was the worst that could happen? (there was always the chance that mingyu’s mother would hate whatever gift they decided on, though dawon saw that as unlikely.)

the mall was an ideal enough location for their meetup, as it would at least save them the trouble of visiting a countless amount of stores. it was fast, easy, efficient—and if they decided to stop for food along the way, it’d only make things that much more convenient. a wide grin formed on her lips at the first sight of her friend (it was easy to spot him, given his height), and she immediately made her way to his side. “mingyu! hi,” she greeted, not bothering to contribute much to the conversation yet. “so, where to? do you have any ideas yet?”
