Was feeling a bit anxious / sad, so I made a submarine in a rocket game I play on my phone. It went to a different planet’s moon and explored some of its ocean.
—
DESCENT LOG:
The atmosphere of this moon was much thicker than expected, which allowed for calm descent. The heat-shielding was mostly unablated following the descent— future missions may need less shielding.
—
EXPLORATION LOG:
The oceans here are young and oddly colored. Chemical analysis of the water is still being processed. 400 meters below sea level, craters could be seen through the main cabin’s camera module.
Such landscapes are only possible if very little erosion takes place. It seems that the oceans have weak currents, indicating a lack of temperature gradients in the oceans.
No macroscopic life was detected during this trip, but further chemical analysis of the water may yield biomarkers. Future explorations are needed.
