Honoured to be included among such blessed company, to share a few words and songs with you all. ——————————— We are often asked to love and celebrate Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, but how can we express this love for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ? One of the earliest examples was Hassan Ibn Thabit, a close companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Then there was Imam Al-Busiri who expressed his tremendous love for the Prophet ﷺ through the Qasida Burda, considered as one of the greatest expressions of love written in honour of Allah's Beloved, Sayyidina Muhammad, Allah's Peace & Blessings be upon him, his family and companions. Through the Mawlid Festivals we want to showcase different ways people can express their love for Prophet Muhammad. We had nasheed Malaysian style, we had hard-beating qasidahs Yemeni/Indonesian style, we had Qawwali style expressions in Tamil and Urdu, and we had poetry recitation in Malay and English. We celebrate the diverse and vibrant spiritual and cultural heritage of Islam through the various expressions of love for Allah ﷻ and His Messenger ﷺ. Since 2012 we had organised many other Mawlid Festivals, Grand Mawlid, annually. Last year 2020, despite the Covid restrictions, we've managed to organise a hybrid Mawlid Festival in Singapore. This year, we are organising the Mawlid Festival on a Global scale insha'Allah, featuring speakers and reciters from all corners of the Globe!
