are you guys also having this bug where skin details will simply dunapply themselves???? whenever i delete sim, create a new sim, put the household on my library, someone will always have their skin details fucking GONE
pleaseee its driving me mad
So the problem may have been in front of my face this entire time.
Doing the 50/50 method was inconclusive. Everything seemingly works and nothing works at the same time. I've only been testing in my Lowry household so I decided to play a day in my Adams Legacy. Everything was perfectly smooth with no crashes. Okay, so that must mean my Lowry save got corrupted. They did just come back from China and sometimes that fucks up your save. So I did some digging and noticed a second mailbox on the lot. One is fully functional and normal, the other is not. Cannot click on it, can't even shift click on it, and when I move it in build/buy mode, I get a script error from nraas. Further testing is being done. I also went back to my Adams family and they do not have a second mailbox. So if your game is suddenly crashing for no reason, check your lot for a corrupted mailbox.
not the TOOL'd items being thrown into the sky 💀 kinda aesthetic and too late to fix it now so LOL. Don't look up!
Rose: *finally creates a male sims that is not androgenous* This glitch: “Okay, but what if... titties?” No, but seriously, what is this? It only happens on this sim. The other male sims in this house hold are fine. He was also fine until this morning. All his outfits have changed as well? Any ideas?
LOL, you guys. These Neighborhood Stories are getting on my last nerve.
Bridget’s boyfriend said he found a ring in HER bag and asked HER what he should do, she gave a vague answer, and then they automatically got engaged. UGHHHHHH.
Luckily I used UI Cheats to just remove the “Engaged” relationship between them, which lowered their relationship values a lot and made them just romantic interests but I got them back together shortly after, so no worries.
This better not happen again. I thought this was only for non-active households. 🙄
TS3 is a mess.
I finally bought and installed IP, and it has blown a gigantic hole in my save, because TS3 is a beautiful, but fickle mistress. I’ll post the pictures I still have when I have time, but there might be a small break after, since I highly suspect it isn’t bad CC (which is an easy fix by comparison), but rather something in the neighborhood not playing nice with IP. Will I have to save all the families and lots to the bin, reinstall the neighborhood and place everyone back where they should be, then make sure everybody who should be related is related to avoid a Skywalker-incident? Possibly.
Weirdly complicated, labor-intensive, tedious, and probably not the most clever solution out there?
Yes.
Effective?
Also yes, actually. Last time I had to do this, I moved everyone in, one family after the other, playing a few hours every time, and it turned out that there was a corrupt sim that basically killed my game after 5-10 minutes of playing. I deleted him, it ran fine. It’s an arduous process, but at the end of it I usually either know why it crashed, or the cause of the crashes was inside the old save itself and stops existing. If nothing else, it gives ts3 a fresh start from where it can slowly run itself into the ground again. Which it will invariably do. As much as I love this game (and I really, really do) ... it’s a mess.
