Lorem Ipsim - A Simlish Font

Hi everyone! It only took a month, but I finally finished this font! 🥂 Previews, details and download below!

Lorem Ipsim is a Simlish serif font, and it comes in uppercase and lowercase, plus numbers and most symbols:

It works best as a display font...

...although it's pretty good as a text font as well (I just didn't design it with that in mind since there aren't many scenarios that involve large amounts of copy in the Sims):

Like Rocket Summer, there are a couple of things to know about this font before using. I kerned this as best I could, but like a lot of fonts, it generally benefits from some hand kerning. The high baseline is also present here, so you may want to drop that if your graphics program allows. It doesn't affect functionality, it's just a bit annoying if you're working with a large block of text.

This is my second font and my first time working with lowercase characters (which is why this took so long...I know I keep saying this, but man, some Simlish characters are just weird lol), so if I borked anything, please let me know!

Attribution is appreciated, and I'd love to see your projects if you use it! Please do not use for commercial purposes or redistribute the font itself.

How to make a clean, empty copy of your hood...

...with no sims, and all of your lots where you left them! This can be very useful for building or just general backup reasons. (I can't take any credit for this method! This tutorial is based on Mootilda's suggestion on MTS here.) I had to split this into two parts because of Tumblr's photo limits. Sorry about that!

(Please move all of sims out of their houses and apartments before trying this tutorial! It would also be a good idea to use the LotCleaner to clear lots of sim references before copying them over.)

Additional note: this is a sims 2 tutorial. Do not try this for any other game, it won’t work!!!

anon asked where i got the comments template i used in this post, and here it is! i tried to make the template as organized as possible for everyone 🙇🏻‍♀️ do take note that you’ll need to know how to use clipping masks to take full advantage of this psd.

edit the template as needed! the psd allows up to two comments, but you can make your canvas bigger and add comments as you see fit. just duplicate the “comment chain” folder, move it down, and edit to your heart’s desire!

Hey guys I still adore this blog and hijabi fashion but I don’t have a computer at the moment so I’m not active in the Sims community despite desperately wanting to.
