EP11KB: Deco Building Shells
Published: 3-18-2026 | Updated: N/A SUMMARY “In need of a funkier, more futuristic skyline? The EP11 Kitbash Series (Simmons, 2022-2023) makes neighborhood assets from Sims 3: Into the Future (EA/Maxis, 2013) (and other EPs) available for Sims 2. Sets include single-tile shells and other items you’ll be able to plop on lots. Then, build above, below, in, and around them to create useable structures. Shell challenge anyone?” This discarded WIP, shared HERE some time ago, is available for download “as is.” I grew tired of trying to remap, decimate (lower poly count), and fix various imperfections, especially since I’m still not sure how I’ll use them in my current save. There have been some requests for these so I’m happy to share them – no sense in letting things rot in folders over imperfections. These deco building shells won’t cause game errors and shouldn’t overwrite anything else in your game. Some buildings were split into two pieces for easier use and some, like the City Hall, work better as a top, deco piece. Building frames, glass, and/or train tracks are recolorable depending on the object. This set doesn’t come with recolors but recolors for the frames/glass can be found using the #co2recolors and #ts2recolors tags. Recolorable parts were originally optimized for seamless, unlined textures but you can play around with textures of your choice.
DETAILS Requires all EPs/SPs. §2000 | Build > Architecture All items were cloned from a painting and should go down with walls – you’ll need the “move objects” cheat turned ON to place them. Items with “MESH” in their filename are required. The BB_Niche1_Master (BuggyBooz, 2012) and Plain Glass TXTR Repository are REQUIRED for the recolorable textures to show up. Both are included in the Repository Pack (Simmons, 2023). Polycounts for some items are higher than I’d like but they only need to be placed once, and I think the visible interiors are worth it (even with their imperfections – make hiding those a part of the ‘shell challenge’ I guess).
