After a year since its initial reveal, it’s now here!

Please note that as this uses Clean UI & Starship UI as a base, it will require all expansion packs and Mansion & Garden stuff to work as fully intended.

Hello! I saw that you solved the mystery in Arkhelios. I’m struggling to figure out what I’m supposed to do, and I can’t tell if the scripted events are working as intended or not. Could you possibly help me out by just confirming if this is the same as how yours was? I load up the Fontana household, it pops up saying Oriana wants to fill the buffet, so I have her do that. I don’t get any other things popping up. I complete the party (good or bad outcome) and nothing else happens. As another example, in the Soileh household it says she wants to use her telescope, so I do that... and nothing else scripted happens... So yeah could you just confirm if mine is broken and there should be more, or am I just missing something? Thank you!

Hello, I am making my answer public here so anyone can find out what’s exactly happening in @arkhelios. I can say that it’s precisely the same as my game. There’s another thing you should know: some sims already have some actions queued up before you load each family.

Why am I not getting any more notifications after the first one?

It’s just how the CJH_CustomSripting.package works. You only get one notification for each family when you load their lot. I understand that it’s more complex with Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville, where extra actions might happen when you play the premade families. But sadly, we’ve only figured it out with the mod that just gives a notification per family.

Are sims scripted to do certain things at certain times?

No. However, some sims actually have their actions queued up before you start playing, so I’d recommend playing without mods because most of them cause sims to reset upon loading!

So, what am I supposed to do?

Just play each family for 2-3 days, which gives you enough time to explore around and discover easter eggs and secrets (related or unrelated to the death of Abraham Helios). I’d love to hear your thoughts on unusual things- I mean, there are so many, haha!

Are storytelling pictures glitched or what?

You may notice some blank images (or space rather like) in a few families’ albums. I believe it’s been done on purpose, and it gives you an idea of what might have happened... (let me ask, would you go to the storytelling folder inside ARKH in File Explorer to check if anything’s weird? Hmmm...). Obviously, some families’ pictures do not have captions. That’s done on purpose, haha!

I have played this great neighborhood three times, the first time I had my mods installed and nothing happened, my mods nullified a lot of things,and the second time my sims had all the names changed and it was a bit confusing (I had to use simpe) but the third time I removed all my mods and thanks to the Fix that the creators of the neighborhood launched , all the names were correct,

I have to say that I have had a lot of fun playing this neighborhood, I love family entanglements and although I have discovered who the murderer is...

I still have some doubts about who is the father of ... shhhh

hi pooklet! found this old skinblending tip of yours /post/69572615779/ and was wondering what settings do you use for reduce noise ? would love to learn more about it. thanks! -simstate

hey!! so i actually do not have any hard and fast settings for noise reduction. generally i just fiddle around with the sliders until something looks right, but i can whip up an example real quick for ya

this is an unfinished blend sitting around in my to-do folder. i zoomed it in to 200% for these screencaps and as you can see, there’s a lot of texture crunch around the nostrils in particular.

so here in reduce noise, i would be looking at those specific areas of the face while i adjust my settings. because i am going to use masks to selectively blend my layers, we can crank the settings up pretty high without worrying about the detail loss to other parts of the face. keep in mind that i (still) use photoshop cs3, so later versions may have more complicated settings for reduce noise, idk! but these are the settings i use for my version of photoshop.

when applied, we get this:

i would want to maintain the original texture on the lips, philtrum, and eyes in particular, so those parts of the layer mask would be painted black to allow the original texture to show through like i talked about in the tutorial. after applying a layer mask and painting out the parts that i didn’t want to be affected by reduce noise, i have this:
