The surprise that she was still alive, which followed the feeling of awareness after a dream, was nothing new to Lorrenta, but this time was different. Blood seemed to fill her entire mouth and she struggled to turn her head slightly to the side to spit it out. It was as if her pulse had never been there. Her head rumbled like an unexploded volcano. She couldn't move a finger, but there was no pain. Just the immense weight of fatigue. When she opened her eyes, she saw tall green crowns of lush trees, very different from anything she had seen in the Northern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. She was still in Pandaria. But was she alive, or not? After that question, her dear servant soared directly above her.
The succubus, Insandri, crouched over sin'dorei's head with a mocking smirk. A taloned hand gently touched her pale cheek.
"My dear mistress… it does not fester me to see you like this, but all that sustains your soul now is my will."
Lorrenta's physiognomy twisted as much as she could, she could not speak.
"Goern has fled to who knows where. The others left the battlefield alive and unharmed. I don't know if you have any will to live left in you, mistress. But I will offer you two choices. Death or…"
Isandri went silent for a moment, as if deliberately trying to get on the dying elf's nerves even more. The warlock squinted her eyes. In another situation, she would have drawn some of the life out of the minion, but she couldn't even breathe without Insandri's desire.
"Or we make a deal. You will heal from your wounds, but… accept me into your body. We will become one."
Lorrenta's mind replayed vivid flashes to her, memories of the past. Of her father, of her nasty Silvermoon, of Goern, of Draokka, of her whole despicable life. It took only a few seconds for her to make a decision. To die now would only mean that she had failed. To lose without ever winning. Thoughts of revenge on the damned orc brought her a bittersweet ecstasy that she would never experience in the world of the dead. Sorcerer's eyes sharpened at the sly, raised corners of the Succubus' lips. She had heard of such bargains, the technique was similar to how Demon Hunters became Demon Hunters. Her heart, if there was any heart left at all after the battle, roared at the injustice, as the sin'dorei saw it. This choice, would be an easy one, if things were as the minion said they were. The more their hybrid existed, the more power the Demon's soul could invoke until it completely consumed her vessel.
She blinked approvingly, and the last thing she saw in the moment was the Succubus's feral grin as she rasped her palm with a claw and raised it over sin'dorei's lips. The long-awaited pain seemed to spread down her throat, propagating like a parasite over her breathless body. Only fel could compare to the taste of demon blood.
NAME: Althrich Havenblade
GENDER: Cis Male
AGE: 28 (BFA)
RACE: Blood Elf (Sin'dorei)
GUILD RANK: Co-leader
Unlike his commanding twin sister, Althrich is... well, he's considered fairly unremarkable by most. Horde leaders tend to forget he exists and ignorant Alliance forces have a bad habit of mistaking him for Viviette. Still, Althrich is a dedicated, loyal and considerate person, and handles much of the administration of the guild. He takes care to personally tend to his guild members, reach out to those in need, and do what it takes to keep the people around him happy. Currently, during his sister's rehabilitation, he is the one in charge. Not that he can lead anyone into battle with his faith waning...
FAMILY: Viviette Havenblade (twin sister); High Priestess Unji'zi (adoptive mother)
SONG: "Something Just Like This" - The Chainsmokers & Coldplay
More babbling under the cut.
Several worksheets, about 50 words and way too much internal screaming later, I have managed to find enough break in my study time to post more still. (Actually it's more like I had this mostly done before I started studying my ass off for my Japanese exam, and during a break I managed to finish it.) So here's Viviette's brother! He's a good boy. I probably had the most fun drawing his weapons so far? Probably because the Horde symbol is all over them and I am Horde through and through. LOK'TAR
As you can see I modified the crap out of Al's 'mog from when I drew it for that one piece in 2017, made it more cohesive and also probably simpler (at least with the damn cape). It's mostly a Wrath set mixed with the Judgment set from Classic with Vol'jin's Spear thrown on top, because that's the best tabard in the game.
Next up, I have another set of Horde twins to offer. But, uh, not until I'm done my exam.
