Her: So what are you reading these days?
Me (who only reads fanfiction): Oh uh, you know, mostly free stuff online from smaller authors, just whatever I can find lol! It doesn’t sound great, but it’s free and I’ve read some really good stuff!
Her (without missing a beat): Ooooohh, yeah cool… I read fanfiction too, especially Harry Potter stuff
