Free 20-page comic given out by Sinclair Oil in 1950 promoting their gasoline additive called RD-119 that they used throughout the 1950s

RD-119 was a 1950s Sinclair Oil anti-rust fuel additive. The exact chemical composition of RD-119 was not publicly known at the time and remains a secret today…… Lead? Aluminum filings… Mercury… Low-grade spent uranium?

Somehow, they are able to continue breathing and are not eaten alive by the acidic gasoline.

Also, as luck would have it, even though it's 1950, they manage to go more than 10 minutes without lighting up a cigarette and getting blown to kingdom come.

Ahh, judging by what happened to pops here, the secret ingredient in RD-119 was concentrated psilocybin mushrooms… and lead.

So, why did y'all take it out starting in the 1960s?

Sinclair's advertising writers first had the idea to use dinosaurs in Sinclair marketing back in 1930. They were promoting lubricants refined from crude oil believed to have formed when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
