they hadn’t meant to stand around, like they were creeping, but when they heard the other sing, how could they not take notice? and not wanting to scare her, icarus didn’t say anything, just--listened.

Zii bounced excitedly, more than happy to meet someone like herself. There were only a few androids built for performing and entertainment - custom-made pieces. The few of her model, her replacements, and a few others she knew of. This android was another; the SD600.
She felt a special kinship with all those like her - they were like siblings to her.
Realising she’d been staring for a long time, her LED flashed yellow quickly before returning to a cool blue. She hoped she hadn’t unnerved the other - her aim, as always, was to be friendly.
“The... SD... 600! You’re like- like me, aren’t you? A... A performer!”
She paused. Wait. This wasn’t the stage. This wasn’t a recording studio. This wasn’t anything like that - these were the streets of Detroit. Was this android safe? What had happened? Zii's LED flashed yellow again, worrying, thoughts rushing through her mind.
Her hand went to her mouth, and she rushed to hide her broken arm behind her back. She spoke again, in a hushed tone, moving carefully closer to the other.
“Y-you’re... On the streets! You’re here! Are you alright? Wh-what happened to you?”
