Blanton's Original Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
The gold standard for single-barrel bourbons!
Blanton's Original Single Barrel Bourbon is much more than just a whiskey—it is a milestone in bourbon history. When it was introduced in 1984 by Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee, it became the world’s first bourbon to be marketed as a “single barrel.”
Alcohol content: 46.5% ABV (93 proof) Mash bill: Mash Bill #2 (higher rye content, approx. 12–15%) Storage: Legendary “Warehouse H”
Warehouse H Unlike most brick warehouses, Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace is made of metal. It heats up more in summer and cools down faster in winter. These extreme temperature changes cause the whiskey to penetrate deeper into the wood of the barrels, allowing it to extract more flavor in less time.
