The "simpler" SingPass 2FA application process is *just* 3 steps, including waiting 7 days for snail mail. Glad we didn't use the old 22-step method: 1. Log on to SingPass 2. Use a different browser, because your first browser isn't supported, no matter what it is 3. Buy a Windows XP machine, because you need IE6 4. Install dial-up modem drivers 5. Didn't work. Turn it off and on again? 6. Unplug the cartridge. Blow on it. 7. Logged on! Find the "2FA activation" menu item. 8. View Source on the site HTML to find the menu item. 9. Realise site is done in tables and framesets. 10. Check calendar to make sure you haven't time travelled by accident (again). 11. Apply for 2FA! 12. Crap, you applied for 2 Fuzzy Armpits. You don't need *those*, it's so warm here in Singapore. 13. Apply for the _right_ 2FA. 14. Provide your address. 15. Check email for confirmation. 16. For some reason, you have to forward this email to 25 of your best friends, or you'll have bad luck for the rest of the year. Better not risk it. 17. Wait for snail mail to arrive with random 25-character PIN you need to verify your identity. 18. Receive your neighbour's 2FA verification PIN instead. Ah, well, close enough. 19. Send SMS to provided number with the PIN given. 20. Post selfie with SMS confirmation. 21. Attempt log on to SingPass. 22. "SingPass servers are down for maintenance."
