Oh yes, Miles is going to get some kisses alright. Mira ran over when he was laying down to lick all over his face, jumping around him with a few CHIPPER barks before finding INTEREST in her own tail.

Yᴏᴜ ᴇᴠᴇʀ just want to have a nice day?
You ever just want to, huh, let's say, normal. As normal as can be, anyway; ignoring the static in your bones and the voices in your head and the way you hurt in a way no living thing should hurt, but some days, well, it's almost bearable. It's remarkable to what the human body and mind can grow accustomed to, so today it's... almost okay. Almost alright. As close to it as it can be, anyway. He's just curled down, not sleeping, but dozing (which is the closest thing he can do, comfortably, otherwise it's push and push and push until his body gives out under him), just dissociating, and then —
And then there's a dog tongue all over him, and a fur ball standing on top of his chest. (Not for the first time he wonders how well Mira knows him and what's going on with him, because in all her maneuvers, never once does she stand on his wounds, but maybe that's just one of the perks of being a ghost town dog that's not afraid of the swarm inside him.) The sound he makes is undignified, something rather embarrassing if anyone hears (if Samuel did, he's never going to hear the end of it) before it turns into laughter, and he's just about to gently shove her off his face when she retreats herself.
Alright, alright, he's going to sit up. And, very sincerely: "Thank you, Mira. Lovely seein' you, too."
